Weekends Away
4 Peaks Challenge
As part of celebrations for the Club’s tenth anniversary, we intend to climb the highest mountain in each of the four provinces. This Four Peaks Challenge, the brainchild of Michael J Power, entails three weekends away and a day-trip to Kerry.
The schedule is as follows:
- Mweelrea (Connaught) April 1-3
- Carrauntoohil (Munster) May 15
- Slieve Donard (Ulster) June 3-6
- Lugnaquilla (Leinster) July 29-August 1
Lest anyone feel left out, C walks will be organised to run in tandem.
Pre-planning for the trip to Connemara is already at an advanced stage. Interested members are asked to contact Tom Fitzgerald (058 44649) before January 15th and to have a €20 deposit in to Reenie Palmer by February 15th.
